THE AGRIFOODS RANGE OF POULTRY FEEDS

BROILER FEED RANGE

AGRIFOODS 3 PHASE BROILER FEEDS

BROILER STARTER MASH/CRUMBS

(20% crude protein)

This feed is designed for feeding ad lib to broiler chicks for approximately the first 21 days. Each bird should consume approximately 1kg of Broiler Starter Mash/Crumbs before being changed over to the Finisher feed. This high protein feed will enable your broiler chicks to obtain a balanced nutrient intake resulting in large, strong and healthy birds. The target live mass at the end of this feeding period is about 650g.

BROILER FINISHER MASH/PELLETS

(18% crude protein)

Agrifoods Broiler Finisher Mash/Pellets allows you to obtain the best possible feed conversion from your bird by allowing the broiler to perform to its genetic potential. This feed is fed post Broiler Starter to slaughter. Approximately 3kg of Broiler Finisher Mash/Pellets should be fed to achieve a target live mass of about 2kg by the end of this period.

BROILER CONCENTRATE

(39% crude protein)

Agrifoods has designed this feed for the producer who has his own maize available for broiler production. In order to obtain a balanced starter ration the producer mixes 2 parts Broiler Concentrate with 3 parts milled maize. The resultant mix will provide the essential nutrients a broiler chick requires for maximum growth from day old to three weeks of age. From 3 weeks to slaughter the mixing ratio should be changed to 1 part Broiler Concentrate to two parts milled maize to provide a finisher ration.

NOTE:  All the above broiler feeds contain a coccidiocide.

AGRIFOODS 3 PHASE BROILER FEEDS

Agrifoods offers a 3 phase broiler feed range which not only gives the desired results but is also easy to manage for the farmer, regardless of the size of the operation. Below is the recommended feeding plan.

Product Feeding Period Intake (kg/bird)
3 Phase Broiler Starter Crumbs (22% crude protein) 0-14 days 0.6
3 Phase Grower Crumbs/Pellets (20% crude protein) 15-28 days 1.3
3 Phase Finisher Pellets (18% crude protein) 29 days to slaughter 1.7

 LAYER FEED RANGE

CHICK STARTER MASH

(18% crude protein)

Chick starter Mash is a high protein feed for ad lib feeding layer pullets for the first 7-8 weeks. During this period each bird is expected to take in approximately 1,8kg of the Chick Starter Mash. An anticoccidial is added to the feed.

GROWERS MASH

(15% crude protein)

This feed has been formulated so as to provide the layer pullet with a balanced ad lib diet from post Chick Starter Mash to 17 weeks of age to ensure optimum production at the onset of lay. Expected feed intake for each bird during this stage is 5-6kgs of this mash. However, adjust feed intake where breeders have given specific weight for age standards through fortnightly weighing of a 10% random selection of the flock.

GOLD LINE LAYERS MASH/PELLETS

(15% crude protein)

This high energy feed is introduced gradually at 17 weeks of age so that at the onset of lay the birds are now feeding entirely on Gold Line Layers Mash/Pellets. Gold Line Layers Mash/Pellets may be fed ad lib or under restriction feeding. Anticipated intake per bird per day is 120-130g at a feed conversion of 2,2g of feed per gram of egg.

CHICK STARTER CONCENTRATE

(39% crude protein)

This feed has been formulated for the egg producer who grows own maize for his poultry enterprise. 1 part Chick Starter Concentrate is mixed with 2 parts milled maize in order to obtain a balanced starter diet. An anticoccidial is included.

GROWERS CONCENTRATE

(26% crude protein)

Mixing Growers Concentrate in a ratio of 2:3 with milled maize provides all the essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals that a growing pullet requires between 7-17 weeks of age.

GOLDLINE LAYERS CONCENTRATE

(26% crude protein)

Using a mixing ratio of 2:3 Goldline Layers Concentrate to milled yellow maize, you obtain an ideally balanced layers mash that will maximize your egg production. Goldline Layers Concentrate when mixed correctly is suitable for all layer operations. Where yellow maize is replaced by white maize Gold Line Layers Concentrate + Carotenoid should be used to maintain a yellow egg yolk colour.
